i have been keen and intrested in gardening for long time and i live in a small house with a little garden me and my husband took 4 slab in a row out and we began to plant veg's about 8 years ago.
at first we planted tomato's and chilli's and over the years we have grown number of things from tomato's to courgets etc.
about 6 yrs ago i applied for an council allotment which is 2 streets away and i by a suppress on may 2nd 2012 i was give an allotment which was overgrown full of weed full of bricks bags glass u name it had in it!!!
so we my and husband have worked hours and hours and we have cleaned it out,
but we have brought most of the plants from places like market and carboot sale and i have started a compost bins and i have read up on how to and what i can put in the compost bins and i have been looking around on the internet on people who are doing smiler things as me and could advice and share the experience on to do do things.
we are both veg planters we both like to work hard and see results
Hello and Welcome tas, I've moved your thread here as it seems a better location and more people should see it :)
Congratulations on getting your allotment, sounds like you had a lot of work to do. Good luck with your first growing season :)
Hi Tas!
6 Years is a long long wait!! I hope you get a lot of fun, enjoyment and veg out of it. Don't be afraid to ask questions here - although a search often goes a long way to providing answers. We are, in general, a friendly bunch and some of us (not me) actually know what we are talking about!!
Wow, I waited 3 and found it very long! Enjoy the hard work, there is nothing so satisfying as planting something and watching it grow (or maddening when it wilts/disappears/rots/gets eaten by various critters/accidentally trod on when you plant something next to it)!!!
Hi Tas, and welcome to the forum!
Hi, Tas..nice to meet you, make yourself at home ;D
Hi Tas and welcome, there are a lot of new people recently, some not so new and some old timers!
the excitement of a new plot- but oh it is so frustrating when you have to wait for so long when an allotment has not been used properly in all that time :(
