I picked my first Winter onions today, a fair size and plenty more to come. :D

Yep I picked just 2 today - her indoors seems happy with them. Last year the badgers were pulling them up having a bit and saying no no no.

I'e heard of doing winter onions but don't know to go about it. What varieties are you all using?

Lifted the first one the other day but only because it was going to seed. Will leave mine for now as the tops are still standing tall.
