Hi All,
Just found 2 sweet potatoes in the bottom of my potato bag which i had forgotten about and they have got the kind of growths on i would expect from seeing potatoes chitted but there white i have popped them onto the windowsill but wondered what might happen if i planted them?

It's better to cut the slips off and root in water... the tuber will rot and spread into the plant if you treat it like a real potato... :-\
so if i just stick the potato in a cup of water and let it root would that do the trick? Or do i need to cut the bits of potato out?
I've never done it myself... but when I've seen pictures the tuber is suspended half in the water... near the shoot and once roots start it is cut off with a small sliver of the tuber... :-X
cool will do that tonight :)
