.... will be the young age of 60 in the morning.
He's not a gardener in any sense apart from cutting the grass which he feels, like some men, is their duty when it comes to the green bits around the house ;) He is a cricket umpire and occasional player so has an empathy with grass :)
I'd like post a happy 60th here, as without him I wouldn't be able to cope with my plots alone. He shifts and moves, picks and gets roped into helping with the shows. Not exactly my soil mate but defo my soul mate.
Ninny
A lovely post Ninnys wish him a happy one from me :-*
happy birthday mr ninny, what plans do you have to celebrate? x
Happy Birthday.
Happy Birthday from us too Mr Ninny
Happy 60th Birthday Mr Ninny, have a super day, it sounds like you are just tops :)
Hope Ninny is going to spoil you on your day :)
Happy birthday Mr Ninny. You must be looking forward to Thursday. (OH said the test match starts) ;D.
Late Birthday greetings to you. Hope you had a lovely day.
A soil mate ... ;D ;D ;D
I can't get my OH in the garden for love nor money, he likes gardens where everything is measured out and in neat rows which is a far cry from my plot! So it drives him nuts, and he stays away now rather than criticize!
Many happy returns to your plot clearer!
Mr Ninny (Keith) thanks you all for your lovely wishes. Yes, the children and I did plan a tad of spoiling but I couldn't say before it happened as sometimes he pops a look in when I am posting.
He opened his pressies on Sunday morning and tried so hard not to shed tears. Our children had booked flights and accommodation for the two of us for two nights in Dublin. We arrived middle day on Monday, settled in then took the 10 minute bus ride into the centre. A pint of Guinness in FitzGeralds being the customary thing to do. We've explored Trinity College, Dublin Castle, Stephens Green, crossed the Liffey on so many bridges, taken the Dart to Dalkey and Greystones. Been on the turf inside the Croke, a visit to Glasnevin Botanic House Gardens and finished with another pint of the black stuff at The Gravediggers.
I need to book him a good pedicure now as he's walked his socks off ;D
Ninnys
That sounds like a wonderful pressie, what a lot you managed to cram in & some of the black stuff can't be bad ;D.
A birthday to remember. What a lovely surprise.
