Title: Waterlogged pots
Post by: caroline7758 on April 26, 2012, 17:29:36
I made the mistake, just before all this rain, of replacing the pot feet under all my pots with saucers. ::) Now it's been raining forever, I was wondering if there are any plants which suffer more than others if they get waterlogged? As I'm going away for 3 weeks i don't want to risk them drying out too much if it finally stops raining. I've got summer bulbs in some of them, also sedum spectabile, heuchera, an acer, pansies, etc.

Just sink the pots into the ground an inch or two they will draw up enough moisture to live on while you are away. Drain the soaking pots now otherwise the roots will rot.
