Post by: adrianhumph on February 21, 2005, 11:22:00
Hi all, :D
With the temperature decidedly chilly :( are my seed potatoes which are chitting in the garage,( Plenty of light) going to be ok ??? The overnight temp is 5dgs C   or do they need to be brought inside to a windowsill  ???

                                                        Adrian.

Hi. I'm not an expert but I understand that as long as they are kept frost - free they'll be fine. Mine are in an unheated but glazed in balcony, plenty of light, plenty of cold but no frost.

Should be fine, as Mango says.

PS  The Alphonso season starts soon!!

They'll be fine - the low temp should help reduce the chances of aphids appearing - if you're lucky!!
