My vinyl flooring in my kitchen is looking dirty. It is good quality and not very old. I have mopped it with very hot water and Flash liquid cleaner but it still looks grubby in places.
I am looking at the steam cleaner from Lakeland. Has anyone got one of these or similar and are they any good.
Or any advice. My friend thinks it is because the vinyl has a ripple in it.
We don't have a steam cleaner, I'm afraid, but I can recommend adding a decent glug of bleach to the Flash floor cleaner solution for normal cleaning.
Personally, I use warm water with the detergent rather than very hot water, for fear of softening the vinyl.
To refresh the vinyl occasionally, it's worth trying Windolene (or a similar glass cleaner). Spray it on, brush it in with a soft brush around the pattern on the vinyl, and leave it for a minute or two before rinsing with a cloth or sponge mop in clean water.
Can't really help you with that..but every time I've had new vinyl flooring..I've 'sealed' it first with vinyl floor polish so any dirt doesn't get in to the vinyl to change the appearance. It has worked well to keep the colour much true to original over the years.
Unfortunately something always happens to my vinyl and it gets ripped before it other wise is ready for change.. >:(
