Very well done, you have made some great progress there. Was the plot ploughed for you?

Hi All

Thanks for all the comments. I am pleased with the progress so far, although there are some things that I should have done differently. Some lessons learned!!

The field was ploughed the week before we all got the keys. The soil seems very heavy clay in places and I suspect that drainage may be a problem. There is a hill running down towards the shed and the water is pooling in the areas that have been dug. There has been many days of rain recently!

So far I have planted some peas, totties, some beetroot, carrots, onions, garlic, rhubarb and some fruit bushes and some flowers. I have also started pumpkins, leeks, spring onions, sweetcorn and some cabbage in the conservatory and plan to get them into the allotment soon.

Thanks again for your interest, and I will post some more soon.
