Rain is forecast for us coming down from the north.
We have not had a drop since 17th March and that was only a heavy shower.
We are so desparate for rain still.
I would not mind a drop or two..same situation here..I might start irrigation with my tears soon... ::)..or should I start spitting with temper.. :-\
Would you like some snow ... or sleet? We have plenty here!
Oh yes please...anything wet would do nicely.. ;D I'm getting bit short of bodily fluids and can't use wee for everything.. :o :-X ;) ;D
Just a drizzle here!!
Near Manchester too!!
X Chas
Yes none here for a few weeks either. They said showers today but there is not a cloud in the sky! Hard to believe a drought in Britain!

Oh yes..we don't live in 'age of the marshlands' anymore.. ;) ;D

Same here in West Yorkshire.
We had rain, blink and you missed it :(
We have droughts here in Britain regularly. 1976 was one. One year I think it may have been 1998 they installed a standpipe in the street. Luckily it was never used.
I was rather hoping for more than drizzle, but the met office have already changed the heavy showers to light rain, so I will not hold my breathe.
Its very dark outside and we have just had a short hail storm with some large rain drops. Not enough to cover my patio yet but i think were going to get it soon :)
I am getting very excited indeed. There is wetness. The spots have joined up. But I think it has stopped already.
We've had a few showers this afternoon, hoping for a bit more this evening.
Yes, it is exciting isn't it?
I bet the weed seeds are getting very excited too.
I am told (had to look it up though) that the thing outside is called a puddle :)
Here to the West of Gateshead we had drizzle until lunch time and then the sleet snow and strong whipped up by strong NE winds began. Looks like its in for the night. We need it though, the Derwent reservoir looks a bit low but Cow Green reservoir in the Upper Tees looked quite full on Saturday when we were out walking.
Only a bit so far, I did give the lottie a good watering earlier. :)
Just enough at work to make the carpark slidy.... when I got back to Swindon (I cycle to bustop, catch bus, cycle the rest of the way)we'd got that kind of light drizzle that means you can't win with waterproof trousers.... not on and you're cold and a bit damp when you get home, put them on and you're wearing a sauna..... hoping we get a bit more tomorrow... glad the big dig on plot one finished yesterday tho, plot two is nearly all tenders so I won't need it for five weeks yet...
We had plenty this afternoon did the lotty a power of good and more planned for the rest of the week, and theres me sending the council a snotty email to turn the water back on, :)
Wetted the paving stones then dried up within the hour >:(
Our son is on cricket tour in Kenya, and they had heavy rain last night ::) (Asked him to bring some back with him :))

Had some short sharp showers early on,then steady drizzle for a good while :)
Raining here, slow and steady, about 1 cm has fallen in the last 24 hours.
Predicted to rain for the rest of the day. Fingers crossed.
been raining all night and woken up to really heavy shower which is still going
Here in Leicester we have had about 1.5" of rain in the last two days, with snow to top it off today. Plot had lying water everywhere this morning.
Both IBC's now fully topped-up, ready for summer.
We had a few very brief showers yesterday and a couple of very very very brief ones today the spots just about joined up. Nice sunny afternoon if you could get out of the wind. Been down at the lottie watering my seed beds. Not enough even to get the weeds excited. Sun soon dried off the little there was. Met office showing heavy rain for 10pm so there is still a window of opportunity.
Totally gutted only a slight damping. It will dry off again in a few minutes.
Ground over here is still white from the snow...and yet..I'm going to work to do some gardening this morning..5 miles away there is not snow at all! ::)
We have your share here Digeroo. Water buts (6) all full.
Finally got some real rain yesterday. I went out during the afternoon and waterbutt had been leaking so after mending was hoping to fill it. By 6pm there was only a little in the bottom. But finally about 10pm the skies opening up and the rain came down. Butts full. Soil wet no dry patches under the surface.
Been down at the lottie mulching everything up. The half rotten straw from last years bale grown courgettes is very useful.
I do beleive the broadbeans are already twice as big.
Can dig again now. It was like concrete.
We had some decent rain yesterday as well. The broadies are coming up, but no more than that.
A few showers here, but not a lot. ::)
