Hi Katy, don't tell us there is an internet cafe in the middle of the rainforest!
Looking forward to your photos.
Very envious. Sure you are having a great time. Look forward to photos.
Hi Katey......But are there any cats ;D
Ahhh....monkeys and such and things...have a good holiday!
Have a fabulous time! We're looking forward to the stories and the pix!
Katy - I am not usually a person who gets envious, but if there is one thing in the world I have always dreamed of it was to visit Borneo! Please take lots of piccies to show us. I have been in the rainforests of northern Queensland and can still visualise it and the atmosphere there. Lucky, lucky you!

Isn't the interwebby such a grand thing.
Our son messaged from the Masai Mara today, telling us what he'd seen.
Loads for the mind's eye and the camera to share, please.

Piccies would be great, my 7 year old has been learning about the rainforest and has been non stop talking about it for months she even tests us on it to see if we learn from her talks and if we get it wrong she just says, weren't you listening I've already told you this one, cheeky mare, I don't know where she gets her cheek from . ;)
I will be asking questions on the rainforest Katie on behalf of my Phoebe, so be prepared. :D ;)
Some pictures would be fantastic, i was out there in !965 and 66 Stayed in Bruni and Sibu so it would be nice to bring back some memories

Sounds fantastic, Yes please pics.
Hello, am back now, we had an amazing time, the rainforest is fantastic, I saw more endangered species than I thought possible. We saw (and all in the wild) Orang Utans, leopard cats, marble cats, flying squirrels, pygmy elephants and loads of bugs which looked like they were on steroids they were so big! Lots more which I will remember later. Will try and attach pics..
Ok, that worked, let's try another few:pygmy elephant, black and blue broadbill, young orang...
Oooh you lucky duck !
I don't travel but my most favourite creature (after the grandkids ;D) is oran utan .
To see them where they belong must be breathtaking.
What a wonderful experience, thanks for sharing especially the pics :)
Katy, on your return, bring me back a small amount of raw kapok. The kapok I got with my blowpipe from the Temiar tribe of North Kelantan has run out and I wanted to show my grandson how to use it.
This is not a spoof ! :D Cheers, Tony
Katie - I'm drooling! Wonderful piccies, hope there are a lot more to come?
Tricia
Brilliant!! Thank you for sharing. Very envious.
How lovely for you to see these animals where they belong.
Any more animal piccies for my Phoebe. :)
Hi Kev, here are some more, a Bat Lily Orchid, Pygmy Elephants (including a baby) swimming across the Kinabatang River, then them getting out onto the bank, silver leaf monkeys and some more later...
Wow
A lovely experience Katy and lovely photographs. Thanks for sharing.
Yes indeed, lovely. Something I wouldn't mind doing myself in the future.
Katy, if you're interested, there's a programme on Channel 4 on Monday 23rd called Jungle Special: Inside Nature's Giants and this week (part 3/3) they are in the Borneo Rainforest. Description says: The team heads to Borneo in Southeas Asia to dissect some of the rainforest's most fascinating flora and fauna, including giant insects and parasitic trees. Not cute and furry orangutangs I know, but just in case you want to reminisce already ... ;D
A great one of the loch ness monster in the second picture. :D
I thought that at the time, either Nessie or a river boat full of rowers which was slowly sinking!
