I was watching a woman on TV the other day.She adopts baby Elephants. They are orphans, the mothers are slaughtered for the ivory. They need mothers milk till they are three yeas old.

At the moment there is a huge demand from the Chinese for Ivory and the poachers are so poor it is just too tempting.

If it caries on the Elephant will be no more. :'(

 Done  :)

I've always loved elephants & have been fortunate to visit the elephant orphanage in Sri Lanka whilst on my honeymoon - fantastic experience. Fed the orphaned babies with bottles of milk, and watched as the older elephants were taken to the river for their daily bathe with their mahouts who scrubbed their skins with heavy duty yard brushes .
Also lucky enough to ride on an elephant - although afterwards did wonder about the exploitation of the elephant  :-[

Done.
I have always had a dream of going on safari in Africa. I have an open invitation to visit my nephew who lives in S. Africa. He puts wonderful photos on FB for me to see. Maybe...one day.
