When is the best time to plant pansies for autumn flowering please?

If you have the plants now then I would plant as soon as the soil is in good condition.

Depends what size they are and where you are,don't let this brief warm spell fool you it my turn cold and frosty,if you cant wait plant them and cover with some protection till they seem to be growing

hello, Charlie you can plant them know mine went in in January. Godd potting compost water leave for 24 hours at room temp sow seeds cover with cling film keep in the light at a temp of 65 70F the light and the heat will help them germinate plant on when you have had your last frost or gow on in a greenhouse. When watering just keep them damp use a water bottle you will have more control ;)
