reminds me of back in the autumn. I went blackberrying, brought them home and made my jam then the next day a friend came to stay. She got very excited when she saw the jam on the shelf. Turns out she was brought up in an area of Liverpool where there are no blackberry bushes and had never been blackberrying in her life. she also had never made jam in her life , so I offered her a jar to take home but that wasn't good enough. You've guessed it. I had to take her blackberrying, via the crab apple tree, then when we brought the fruit home I had to teach her to make jam. I have never seen any adult so excited about the fact she could have half a dozen jars of jam for the price of a bag of sugar
