Title: Blue Poppies
Post by: Monkey Brains on February 11, 2012, 22:28:26
I've had these in the propagator for 2 weeks, the seed packet says to then pop in the fridge for 2 weeks, then back in the heated propagator, which I'll do from tomorrow.
Has anyone tried this? Any tips?

Hi
I did have sucess once with bought seed , when they go in the fridge they do sprout within 10 days or so so keep an eye out . I'm not sure id return them to the propagator though once they have maybe a windowlegde would do.

My best sucess has come from sowing fresh seed in the summer and now have a good patch that i grew myself so if it doesnt work let some seed fall off in your hand at the next blue poppy you see and give it a whirl or remind me in july and ill send you some fresh seed.

good luck

I got some to germinate last year by planting fresh seeds and leaving the pot out all winter.
