Have any of you got a tried n tested tasty satay recipe? Have googled but the difference in the recipes are vast!
Won't be using the peanut sauce as I can't eat it, but wan't to do it with a sweet chilli dipping sauce.
Thanks
DP
you'll need :- 1lb chicken breast cut into strips         serves 4
           marinade:-1tsp ground black pepper
                   1tsp ground cumin
                   1tsp ground corriander
                   1tsp chopped garlic
                   1/2tsp ground tumeric
                   1tbsp sugar
                   1tbsp veg oil
                   1tbsp soy sauce
                   1tbsp lemon or lime juice
                   1tsp fish sauce
bamboo skewers(soak in water) & a little coconut milk or veg oil for basting.
mix all ingredients together & allow the chicken to marinate from 2hrs to 24hrs ( the longer the better)
thread the chicken on to soaked skewers & grill or griddle until golden basting if necessary.
i hope you like this recipe.i usually serve it on a crispy salad with a plum & chilli dipping sauce.

Well the jury is back! I made both types of satays, (though omitted fih sauce from Green W's as I can't eat it) and the verdict is......................................................drum roll please........................................
they are both delicious!
Green's has a spicier flavour, sisters was sweeter, but both excellent! The family woolfed them both down! DP
DP In the justice of your scientific research , I shall have
to make some too !!
Think I shall do likewise and make both, kids willl prefer sweeter
hubby and me prefer spicier ;) :o ;)
