Title: Brassicas etc wanted for swaps
Post by: Svea on February 15, 2005, 17:47:22
hello there

having worked out a rough planting plan, and considered how much we really like certain vegetables, i wonder...what am i going to do with 400 cabbage seeds?

so, i am asking, do you have available to swap a few seeds each of (as only a few plants required. what is the germination rate like on brassicas?):

Brussel sprouts 'red delicious' (red variety)
any green brussel sprouts
red cabbage
celeriac
scorzonera
tomato: something like a san marzano

i can offer in return:
spaghetti squash
baby bear pumpkin/squash
kohlrabi 'logo'
courgette 'all green bush'
tomato 'gardener's delight
herbs: lovage, sage, majoram, flat leaved parsley

well, would be great as it would save me some money on this stuff. i mean, does one really need 1000 seeds of parsley? ???

thanks
svea

i have decided to not grow calabrese this year so i have a load of seed you can have if you want? it is stuff like autumn calabrese, trixie and a few others, i do have red brussels if you want?
i would love kohl rabi, baby bear pumpkin and spaghetti squash, only a few of each though!

great, jemma. the red brussels i definately want. (only a few seeds, mind, only want to end up with like three plants. does anyone know what the germination rate is for those?). i will look into the calabrese, but i think i may have ordered some myself and have enough seed.
Pm me your addy, and i'll PM you mine, and we can swap :)
