so how does "with temperatures set to plummet to minus five across the whole country by the weekend" in the text of this article square with the temperatures in the 3 day forecast at the bottom of the article ::)

a bit off- thread I know but round here they call them "Causis", so you have to be careful not to fall off the "causy edge" !

Gazza I though everything in the mail was cosha!!!  ;D lol my parents love it, but if I had to tell them to take everything with a pinch of salt it would be like telling my 6 year nephew that Santa Claus isn't real, they're happy enough and that's good enough for me.. ;)

Snow predicted by Monday, a wee bit frosty this morning I gather as a few murmers and sounds of scrapping windows was to be heard..any it usually snows end of January into Feb, well it always used to on exmoor ???

Finally a bit chilly here, had to scrape the windscreen this morning. Heavy frosts over the weekend. Should still be around 8 or 9 degC in the day which is not that cold. At least till end of next week.... do the plot good, I've not got much in now except a bit of cabbage and the garlic.

I think the deal is Jim that we havent had much of a winter as yet and a lot of us will be welcoming a bit of a freeze.

We travelled from Newcastle, home to Greystoke (Penrith) last night, came over the top via Alston. A bit dodgy coming down the other side. On the plus side my son is dusting off the snowboard as the Lake district ski club runs are working this weekend above Patterdale.
We are very fortunate where we live, the countryside looks beautifully in the snow, no work at the lottie though.
