My son sent me this link - it really made me laugh.

OMG, what a nutter ;D ;D
He's just trying to scare you Betty! ;D ;D ;D
Seriously do you not use chillis at all?
It doesn't have to be like that!!! I make chilli, quince and fig jelly- its really nice. Not hot. Even put chillis in cauliflower soup, just tiny bit. Adds flavour not heat. :D :D :D

No, I really don't like them, even the mildest ones set my mouth on fire. All the rest of my family love them though, which is why I grow them. I've got loads in the freezer and my husband eats them every day with everything. Except his porridge. ;)
i use chilles too they don't have to be hot. Even the kids don't mind them.
My brother doesn't like chillies either -or sweet peppers. There seems to be something in them that upsets his stomach. I always need to remind myself to miss them out when he's visiting! We eat them lots.

How does that work then, does he just add a chilli to his portion of the meal :)

Yes, he takes a few from the freezer and chops them up on his plate, they seem to defrost instantly. He even eats them with salad!
I don't like them either.
Ohhhh....YUM..chillies!.. ;D ;D ;D And they are so good for you...but I'm not keen chillies in porridge neither..not that I've tried.. :-\
They go well with chocolate. ;) Mind you I can't think of much that isn't improved by a wee bit of choclit!! ;D ;D
I add them to salads too. Chillies that is!
I have tried One of these chili sauces that this man has tested at the Chilli Festival! Now I love chillies but the sauce I tried nearly killed me. The only thing that calmed the heat was a Mister Whippy type ice cream that luckily for me was being sold nearby. I wouldn't recommend it and since last year taste tests of these extreme chillies and sauces at the chilli festival has been banned!!! :o.
I still eat and grow them :)
Duke
I quite like a bit of chilli pepper in things occassionally, but hate sweet peppers.
I quite like them in cauliflower cheese, you can cut right down on the cheese and not notice.
Chilli in porridge, now that is a good thought. Perhaps it would make porridge edible.
I recently found a lovely gluten free porridge so can now look forward to breakfast ;D. Chilli in porridge, I do know someone who would like that ;D.
I like my porridge with salt ,and the milk separate in a cup, put the porridge on the spoon dip into the milk, porridge stays hot till the last spoonful , so you don't need chilli's for it ;D
I like warm milk on mine, lovely. I would prefer it the way the Scots to it but I don't/can't drink ;) ;D.
