Title: Netgear N150 ADSL2+Modem(router)
Post by: telboy on January 17, 2012, 17:17:38
Harking back to my November drop-out probs., I've finally resolved it!

I've dumped the Netgear rubbish. I purchased a kindle for OH at Crimbo and i could not connect the thing to my home network. I sent the kindle back as I heard that there had been connection issues.
My ISP would not help as they did not issue the router.
I appealed to my ISP as I had been with them quite some years and they offered to supply one FOC. It came within a couple of days and BINGO! everything connects including a replacement kindle(which probably was fine anyway in the first place).
Lesson learned. There's a long thread on these routers on the Amazon site & the the number of poor s*ds that have suffered is legion.
Please be warned!! Don't touch 'em!!

We have had a netgear router for the last 4 or 5 years and have had no problems with it. Mind you I don't have a kindle
