For those of us in Leicestershire and surrounding areas, time for the Spring pilgrimage to Brookside Nurseries Anstey LE7 7BR. They have their seed potatoes in now, PYO £1.50 per kg. Also onion and shallot sets and peas and beans, all by the kg.
http://www.brooksidenurseries.co.uk/sps.php for the spud list.
They also had a good selection of netting types, composts and stuff like snowdrops in pots for £1.50.
edited for spelling
Went a week ago to get mine; their list is alot smaller than last year [no My Little's Yeltolm Gypsy :(] so I'm supplementing them with Ryton's Potato Day pots.
Going up to Pumpkin's Potato day rather than Ryton this year... but usually end up visiting Anstey for something else... :-X
Yes, there definitely had fewer trays out and they're 20% more expensive than last year. But I still managed to spend £8 and was happy with my haul.
And their cats were fighting! Never seen that before.
What / where is the Pumpkin Potato Day please?

Chesterfield - there's a thread about it on here somewhere. I'd be there if I wasn't going to Ryton the same day

Thanks for the reminder, Ellen, we've just had a lovely run out there, and I managed to get International Kidney this year. Only one cat around, had a job stopping OH putting that in a bag as well.....
