Title: Sleepers (West London area)
Post by: Melbourne12 on January 04, 2012, 18:09:59
We've just collected 8 x 8 foot new timber sleepers from http://www.heathrowfencing.co.uk/contact-us (http://www.heathrowfencing.co.uk/contact-us) at £15 each.  Our local timber yard charges £24 each.

I've seen them advertised for as little as £12, but not in south east England, so that struck us as a pretty good bargain.

I happen to be after sleepers too and am local to there. Do you happen to know if they are creosote treated?

Many thanks!!

The new ones that we bought are not creosoted.  I'm in process of creosoting them at the moment.

They've got reclaimed sleepers also, which are rather wider and deeper (and much heavier), and they are creosote treated.  We've used reclaimed sleepers before, but these ones were a bitt too shabby.
