Anybody else started?
I've got Christmas puddings steaming for next year, bought a few cards in Charity shop sales, and making gift tags from this years cards!!
Bought half price crackers for next year, that is if the grandchildren don't see them. Also half price Xmas cards. I have lot some lovely, expensive (half price) Xmas tree decorations that I bought when I was working and they come out every year, and the lights worked (hurray). The queue in Marks yesterday for returns was horrendous, son still thinks I am a size 10. I know that giving money is boring, but buying clothes for other people is not a good idea, although OH liked his two jumpers, but he is not too fussy about clothes. Must make a Xmas cake for next year, as the one I bought was OK but not as good as mine. Christmas was not very organised this year, due to son moving back and having to rearrange the house and bedrooms for the grandchildren to come and sleep alternate weekends, and all the extra washing and cooking. Next year should be better when hopefully he can go back to his own house, which he has rented out, as has to pay ex-wife loads of money for children and he is in debt. Another long story.
OH ...you are frighteningly organized.. :o
I rather forget Christmas for a another year.
Hm..I might consider saving few this years pressies to pass on again next time round.. :-\ :-X ...does that count as 'started' for 2012? ;D ;D
If you start dripling your puddings with booze year ahead...next year this time, I might invite myself for a taste session.. ;D I don't really like Christmas pudding but the ideas of 'dripling' sounds good.. ;D ;D
maybe dripling (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=dripling)
means something else to you Goodlife :o :o :o
Pumpkinlover....trust you.....
You are being bad again!!!!!!!!!!! ;D :-X
Nearly puked on my Berocca Drink after reading the definition :P
Duke
hear a simple one time to buy fresh pull ties so you can put you Christmas lights away neatly.
No..I wasn't about that sort of dripling.. ;D..more like what comes out of bottle..or should I've use word sloshing..but that sounds like drowning the pud with the booze.
Dampen..not enough..splashing..again to much and sounds messy..
I'm short with right kind of words.. ;D
Dribbling?? ;D ;D ;D
Oh dear, I've just looked that up on Urban dictionary and that is even worse :-[
Tried trickling, that's not too good either.
Can anyone recomend a book or website of purely wholesome, clean living, cookery terms please????
Goodlife if it's not sloshing or splashing how about sploshing! :)
Yes..I was thinking of dribbling..but didn't get my finger type same thing..whoops.
how about sploshing
;D..that sounds like one bottle is not enough.. ;D
It's drizzling, dahlings! ;D
Not that I'll be drizzling anything for several months. I'm reading this thread out of a blind fascination that people can get their heads around next Christmas while I'm still in the thick of this one.
That's the WORD we've been looking for ;D ;D ;D

Nope (well I'm not) I'm on about the Christmas (2 yrs running) that I simply don't have time for.
HELP!!!!!!!!
Please defend me from organised people ::)
I bought a few rolls of wrapping and some tags in the Smiths sale but that's as far as my organisational skills stretch for Christmas 2012, lol.
Here Christmas 2011 doesn't end til Twelfth Night - so that's when the decorations come down........
and the sprouts for 2012's Christmas dinner go on
;D
Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too organised for me ;D
Same here, Lish.
Went for a coffee at sainsburys and came home with 2 ceramic Christmas pudding bowls reduced to 1.60 from 6.00 so, one for me and one for my Christmas mad sister next year ;D
Normally out decorations stay up till Twelve night but having a HUGE loft clear out so they had to get out of the way.
Anybody want decades worth of junk, FREE to a good home if you come and collect it!!! ;) ;) ;)

My parents Christmas decorations have been travelling this year - down to the new bungalow then back again as their move was postponed. Have tree will travel! ::)
Mine are almost all down, leaving the tree till last as it is so pretty.
Found a box of crackers I bought last year in the M and S sale,oh well they will do for next year so partly organised LOL.
One thing I am sure of is that I will start buying gifts throughout the year, found it hard working and sorting everything out......must be getting old.
Everything down & put away.
Cards, wrapping paper & crackers bought for next year.
Christmas card list updated.
Cake cut & clingfilmed into finger sized portions ready for the diet!
2 holidays booked.
Now I can enjoy the rest of winter sewing & reading.
I sent my pressys to my daughter in Scotland in Nov beat the rush! made a couple of cakes, then got really sad as my grandaughter of 3yrs can't celebrate Xmas, my son and his wife are Witnesses ,she's my only grandchild, it was very hard we didn't put up any decorations as they wouldn't call on us, they came for boxing day lunch ,we buy things during the year to make up of the Xmas ,we wait 17 yrs of our grandaughter she is very precious to us ,please don't judge her Mum& Dad they are wonderful people,so this coming Xmas we are going away to Turkey ;D to parts we haven't seen, sorry to unload my miserable Xmas it just brought it all back :'(
I feel for you....we have family who are the same.
Their belief made it so they could not attend my Dad's funeral and give my Mum the support she needed. She has always been there for them.
Still the flowers with a note were a nice thought............not that I appreciated it.
Just put the Xmas decorations away, and found the Xmas cards I bought the year before and the wrapping paper, which I forgot about and bought more, so that didn't save any money. ;) ;) Must remember where I put stuff. Granddaughter saw crackers last night, and Nan let her pull them, she does love crackers, so that wasn't any saving either, but at least they were half price.
