With a journey down to the Bristol Channel on the cards for some Winter cod I decided to use up some fillets tonight and as Jude likes it in this herb crust with tartar sauce & spicy fries.
Cod fillets
3 Tbsp fresh white breadcrumbs
3 Tbsp mixed Chives/Parsley/Coriander finely chopped
1 clove garlic finely crushed
2 Tbsp Olive Oil
salt& pepper to taste

mix above ingredients into a bowl.

paste herb mixture onto cod fillets and fridge.
meantime make up Tartar sauce.
7fl oz mayonnaise
3Tbsp of chopped capers
3Tbsp of chopped Gherkins
1 Shallot finely chopped
squeeze of Lemon juice
3 Tbsp chopped fresh parsley
1/2 small tin of anchovies and oil
sprinkle of paprika

mix above ingredients and fridge.
make some Spicy Potato wedges,just add sweet paprika and salt and pepper and a glug of olive oil.

Heat oven to 200 cen and cook tatters for 15 mins....then put in cod fillets for another 15 mins.

and serve with the Tartar sauce.....enjoy !!!!!!!!!!

I found the other day that giving the Pink Fur Apple tatters a bloomin good scrub and having them
rustic added so much extra flavour to the chips instead of peeling them.

malvern salt
