Title: Just dug my Christmas spuds

I just dug my Christmas spuds and what a failure.. only a few smallies from 5 tubers.. 

I planted them end of August into 5 pots of which only 3 took!! When the cold started I put them in the cold GH.. They didn't really grow much halum so wasn't expecting much..

So Dissssssssssssssaster... I'll try again next year..

I'm still eating my way through the sackful of Summer Charlotte...  :)

As you say better luck next time... I think they need a bit of heat, which I can't provide... wonder if they would work on a "hot bed"...  :-\

Dug mine up last week and put them in a bucket of compost. I had them in the ground at the bottom of the garden(South facing). Had a good frost so i thought I would dig them up.

just dug up my carlingfords this afternoon. only got about a dozen or so, and they're teeny! doh! Having 'em tonight instead now and making cheesy leek spuds (maris pipers i think they were?) for chrimbo diner.

Stil digging my pink fir apple.

may be able to finish the row in early January.  Very good crop not many eaten by the wriggles.  they still scrub up well and no need for skinning.

Have two plastic bag containers in the garden to tap as well.
