I know some of you have grown some of these varieties before....would you grow them again? This choosing is hard! Crimson Flowered Broad Bean or Bristows.....etc etc. It's like being in a sweet shop.
We grow mummy pea, keep the seed but it will be crossed with colossus by now. Mummy is smaller pods, lots of peas and sweet but goes over quicker than colossus. Both grow up to 8' tall for us and crop for a long time ;D
If you'd like some seeds, I have loads :)
Peas are highly unlikely to have crossed unless you've done it deliberately! Crimson-Flowered Bean is a good one; I don't know the others.

Good ;D
I couldnt decide between mummy pea and table talk, went for table talk in the end
Dont like broad beans so cant comment on them
Perhaps we should have a specific HSL swap out this time next year! :-X
My husband is highly amused by the amount of pondering going on :)
I have tried both Brejo and Box. Box is a pea bean and apart from the colour is a typical pea bean. Brejo did not like my rather dry conditions but I might try again. It seemed to be very shy of producing beans. But those that it did produce had a nice taste.
