Title: daffodils from Morrisons, where are they from?
Post by: queenbee on November 12, 2011, 21:25:08
Morrison's are selling daffodils in bud, they did it last year in November and as an employee I had a little shuftie in the warehouse when I was taking some rubbish to see if I could see the boxes that they came in. There is no indication on them as to where they are grown. The head of Plants and Flowers didn't know so I am asking you all if anyone can shed some light on this matter.

Most probably from the same place as all the other cheap forced supermarket plant come from, Holland. Thinking of which she should be soon walking in the door with her annual purchase of a poinsettia

When I worked on a flower nursery back in the eighties we were cutting daffs well before Christmas

Daffs wouldn't be flowering in Cornwall now, as they'll think it's the end of the year not the beginning.
