Post by: bedrockdave on November 08, 2011, 21:25:58
this topic has probably been on before but can anyone tell me how long it takes for ox horn peppers to ripen, have some about 10ins long but all green and a few have rotted before ripening,in fact some plants are still flowering ???. they are in a greenhouse facing south

They will probably ripen better off the plant now... as it gets cooler outside...  :-\

It it quite likely that the night time temperatures are too cold for ripening..are they in pots or in ground?
Is bringing the plants indoors an option?...failing that..you can eat them green...or like Saddad said..try to ripen them off plants..often it works...
