Title: BT Home Hub
Post by: katynewbie on November 08, 2011, 16:07:51
Had this installed and all went well for ages. The other day we had a new Sky box installed and the broadband kept dropping out. I spoke to the lovely lady in Bombay, her systems were down and she was unable to help  ::)

I had a fiddle about and read stuff, made sure I had filters in all the right places etc, then whilst looking at Home Hub settings, I saw a phone number on the details. It's not my number. I had a panic (as you do..) and switched everything off and tried not to worry.

Does anyone;
a) know what I am talking about
b) think I should worry
c) have anything comforting to say?

Not sure about the phone number bit but the Sky box has probably been plugged into your phone system and will need a filter.  Same thing happened to my Dad when he had his Sky installed..
I wouldn't be worrying about the phone number on the Hub and if you are just give BT a ring..

Isn't that your other number, the one that you get free - voip or something IIRC?

I advise you never to google "BT Home hub problems" whilst holding a gun or being in possession of a gas oven or 10th floor flat.
