Title: Red Cabbage Rodima F1
Post by: bill_fordham on November 08, 2011, 08:40:48
I have grown a good crop of these cabbages,  but  have used all the seeds and cannot get anymore from the previous supplier.  The only other source is Mole Seeds, who want £3.50 + £4.00 p&p !!

Does anyone have any of these seeds for swap ?

Just let me know what you want in return and I will endeavour to provide them.

Many thanks
Bill

I have been looking for these seeds myself since I saw these cabbages growing on an allotment I visited 2  years ago.   They are on "vegetableseeds" at 95p but I cannot see the postage.  One of those sites which don't tell you until you have put your details.

vegetableseeds.net is a great online supplier where I get most of my seeds from.  Unfortunately, Rodima is unavailable and they have e-mailed me to say that that they wont be available this year.

The Moles site is confusing on P&P but I believe 'small' seeds are free P&P.  'Large' seeds like beans and peas are chargeable.  However, there is a minimum order of £7.50 so you'd have to order another item or join together with someone else.

All the places that did sell seeds seem to be out.  The RHS supplier catalogue only lists one supplier, seeds-by-size, but it's under new managment and doesn't seem to do veg any more.  Only other option I can find is a nursery in East Sussex selling plugs but they don't do mail order so you'd have to pick up yourself.

Thanks for the information... yes, you are right, the postage is free for small seeds.

I ordered some Rodima F1 seeds plus some Kabocha squash seeds which I hadn't seen offered anywhere else.  The prices are a lot higher than I normally pay (most seeds from vegetableseeds.net are 0.95p) but at least I have got the seeds I wanted.
