Title: Peas
Post by: Borlotti on November 06, 2011, 12:17:58
My peas did really well this year and as OH put up a kind of fence made of chicken wire, the question is can I plant them in the same place next year or should I move it.  Just thinking ahead as if I move it can dig that bed over. Thank you all you clever people.  ;D

BOOOb the builder...YES YOU CAN!.. ;D BUT..if you have any 'good stuff' to mix in to that soil..like home made compost it would be good idea. But after next year I would give that spot a rest from peas... ;)

I "bastard" trenched the peas and beans this year and they loved it (bury a whole heap of compostable stuff, kitchen scraps for me, under the bed at the end of winter). By the time they grow it has rotted down and they get lots of nutrients from it.
