Can you put a cut up pumpkin in the compost heap?

Too late unfortunately to eat, it was a bit mouldy so I have sawed it up and mixed with my compost heap.

Sometimes they do get mould on the cut surface but I find that if you cut that off, and teh flesh is still hard under it, then you can use it. If it is off the flesh will darken and go soft.

Me too antipodes! I just think food usually has mould on it, if I didn't cut slices off things we'd never eat  ;D
