I did have a few damaged by slugs, but I also had a few holes in other varieties. I'm not sure how well they would fare if left in the ground for a while.

Overall they grew well and produced a decent crop. Tasty as new potatoes too  ;D
Sadly they are not keeping very well, some are sprouting. Might be more to do with the weather this year?

Certainly not as bad as mayan gold for slugs.

One of the problems for me with Purple Majesty is that it is difficult to spot when they have turned green.

Slug pellets don't help with underground slugs, we don't use them anyway.
Some of our charlottes are sprouting this year so maybe the wierd weather?
Got them from suttons seeds, along with white strawberries, our 2 experiments for next year  ;D
Will watch out for green purple spuds then  ;D

JBA/Tattyman have a purple flesh variety called Congo which looks interesting.

Suttons seem to be a bit pricey.

Congo was rather disappointing, only producing some marbles for me.

Congo is an epically late main, even later than Pink FIr, the only things left going are the undying Sarpo strains.... Mine weren't too bad this year in the context of the rest of the spud problems I had... I've already got four blue and a red-fleshed spud on my list for next year so might give PM a miss.... but if someone wants to swap for somethign heritage then .....
