We have grown a few parsnips and carrots in long tubes/pipes, just for fun really
because I wanted to see if we could grow really long ones and get them out
without breaking the root (we still managed to break the carrot root). Here's a
couple of photos of what we have managed
up to now, there are still 2 carrots and 3 parsnips growing, but we are going to
leave them a little longer.

Did you grow them for size or to show? :D
Not for show, experimenting for fun :)
Potential there me thinks ;D
You do? ;D ;D
No but.......... ;)
anyway I think you have more potential!!
-I'm happy if it looks like it's supposed to and tastes good.... but....!
I'm grateful if they actually grow!! If they taste good and look good that is a bonus!! ;D
Well done - your carrot is a healthy-looking brute isn't it!
The parsnip would have won at our competition I think, ours was 26 1/2", did you measure yours?
Thank you
The carrot is in a pan ready for tea ;D
The parsnip measures 39 1/2 inches!!! :D
