Interesting.
IS it a Kindle ? or some sort of notepad? Can you Torrent on it ?
Dont know about gardening books but http://www.feedbooks.com has a selection of free books.
http://www.gutenberg.org has a big selection
http://www.douggreensgarden.com/free-gardening-ebook.html
http://www.cybersoftware.co.uk/garden_ebooks.shtml - has a few
http://the-ebook-cellar.com/gardening-ebooks has a few as well - probably the same
I got a couple on my kindle, how to grow food in your polytunnel. That was free :)
Theres nothing to stop you Torrenting for ebooks on a PC and then transferring them to the Kindle. I just had a quick search and found thousands.
its not a kindle it reads books, shows films, and video, plays music and photos
Try Project Guttenburg. http://www.gutenberg.org/
Lots of free ebooks presented in differing formats, many gardening books on there including some real old ones too.
Good luck with your search.
Steve...:)

its none off the above it an e book reder that can do othere things besides reading books it has a 1 gb internal memory that will hold 1000 books, it will hold around 8000 books on a 8 gb sdhc card
If its a dedicated ebook reader, it has a electronic paper display, which limits what it can do. If it can do youtube etc, then itsa notepad with ebook reader software...........
Not entirely true - My wife's ereader has a basic web browser (youtube doesnt work though) and many can play mp3s and view pictures. You can even run apps on the Sony if you use custom firmware. My MIL has got a POS no name cheapo from China that has word games on.
the technology races on faster and faster.
The opened a Aldi in Lincoln, finally, its never had one. As an opening offer they were selling a poicket camcorder, it does 1 hour of HD video, or takes 1000 HD pictures at 12 megapixel resolution. Saves in AVI format, all sorts of sockets and connections, Li-On rechargeable, runs for 4 hours on the batteries.....£35. Unbelievable. The same thing 2 years ago would have cost you £350.
i bought one from argos { £29.99 } takes videos in 720p hd plus fotos up to 12 mpixels
i use it mainly to download to u-tube, built in battery ] charge from computer }
