Title: baby cabbages
Post by: gwynnethmary on October 07, 2011, 18:37:11
Has anyone else tried this?
Someone told my lottie partner to cut a cross in the cut off stalk when cutting cabbages, and new ones would grow.  Somewhat sceptically, we tried it, and it works!

I did not even bother with the cross and they still grew- first time I've done it.
Mainly tried for the chickens- but hey ho they are brilliant as small and mild. Chickens not had any yet :D

I remember my Granddad doing this back in the 60s.
