They decided to have summer holidays instead.. ;) ;D
Yes..its all so confused at the moments..I really do wonder if nature does get as 'excited' as us about this weather.

I very much doubt it Goodlife, nature works with what its got.......we anticipate too much.  :D It just looks strange because we are used to seeing spring flowers in spring.  ;)

I saw shoots on my blackcurrant bush that looked like bursting into leaf in the hot spell but they seem to have stopped again now it is cooler.

I shall now go and look at the wild primroses to see if the same has happened here. However some years I get flowers on them at the beginning of January but this year it was March before they sprung into flower

I 'rescued' 24 primroses bought from Morries destined for the trashcan at the end of the Spring by a Client - with permission I took them home and bedded them in.  All in fabulous flower right now and some had started flowering their sox off 3 weeks ago before I went on holiday.

Y'know, I'd begged said Client to let me give them a chance in a spare part of her garden, but she wouldn't.

Her loss = my gain?

Fair cheer me up, they do 8)

I was pulling some old Foxgloves a week or so ago, one of them had a new flower spike on, one of our Honeysuckles is flowering again now.

Strange year for sure!

Steve...:)

My rhubarb is also producing new sprouts, I started off thinking it was a mushroom.  My strawberries are covered in flowers and quite  a few of my potatoes have sprouted.

I've got strawberries to pick, and broad beans (last year's over-wintered, which I thought I'd pulled up)! We ate a de Nice courgette this evening, and the runners are still producing. And the parsnips are looking good....

Working at the allotment this afternoon in a tee-shirt!
