Title: Tomatoes from Organic Gardening Catalogue
Post by: Tin Shed on September 29, 2011, 21:29:05
Some of the tomatoes in the new Organic Gardening catalogue are looking very tempting ;)

Has anyone grown the following varieties - Agro, Andine Cornue or Royale des Guineaux?

Thanks pumpkinlover - its good to get someone elses opinion. My Roma got decimated by blight this year, so I thought I would try another variety.
Agro is another plum tomato which can be grown in the greenhouse - another way to try and keep blight at bay!

I've grown Des Andes/Andine Cornue a few times, lovely toms often quite big and beautifully red, if that makes sense. (Pm me if you would like a few saved seeds.)
I like the look of Royale des Guineaux.

Looking forward to trying Andine Cornue myself next year so enjoying reading opinions.  Whether it is really early, as the catalogue suggests, remains to be seen, but I'll enjoy giving it a shot.
My downfall was visiting the shop at Ryton a few weeks ago with the OH for our anniversary - I finally bought these and Red Robin for the boys to try.  Now of course I'm trying not to look for yellow canary, the yellow version!  ;D
