Can I use fresh horse manure mixed with compost in my greenhouse. I will only grow tomatoes and sweet peppers in it this year.
Should be fine ina,i did it last year also outside and it worked well.Horsemanure warms up the soil and that is what tomatoes and sweet peppers like very much.
Oh good, thanks Ruud. I'm going to make a nice mix for the greenhouse, new soil, compost and manure but first I have to dig the old stuff out.
Interesting -I might try it. I'm in the same position as you Ina -digging the soild out of the greenhouse. I'm surprised anything grew in mine it's rock hard below 2 or 3 inches.

Actually Jeremy, the soil in my greenhouse is fine but I have grown tomatoes and peppers in it last summer and since I can't really rotate the crop in it I'll have to rotate the soil. I just never used fresh manure because I thought it had to be at least a year old.
That's partly the reason I'm getting rid of my soil -I try and do Toms on one side and cucs and the rest on the other and swap them over. But there's at least one bit that's always toms. That said it's been 3 or 4 years without problems now.
I can get as much fresh manure as I need, although it's shavings based, so if I do use it it might need a good dose of fertilizer to help break it down?
Jeremy
I used a mixture of 50:50 compost (with manure mixed in) to sieved soil in bags and pots for my toms last year.
