I grew these tomatoes outside from seed I saved from some tomatoes I bought in Lidl last year.
They are planted through weed-supressant fabric and have never been watered or fed.
They are about 5 feet tall and still growing strongly but the weight of the tomatoes is pulling them over a bit.
The tomatoes are very nice, but not as nice as Sungold. (if only Sungold cropped as heavily as these!)

You've done well there Betty, and I do not see any of that Blue tinge that all the Italians on our site decorate them with.
And still no blight

All I've done is remove side shoots and fasten them to sticks. I never spray them.
No blight yet, touch wood.
Blimey they look good (and prolific) - what are they like to eat?

...that is lot of tomatoes!!
My problem with tomatoes is that I compare them all to Sungold. If I had never tasted Sungold then I would say that this one is very nice.
I have the same results with my Lidl saved seeds Squash - masses of fruit which are gradually ripening. No blight here yet either so maybe I'll get to harvest them all. I saved the seed because I love the flavour - very tangy. I'm going to save some seeds again from this year's harvest.
I also have a huge crop of a beefsteak variety (saved seeds from years ago) but am still waiting for the first to ripen. Is it my imagination or are tomatoes ripening very late this year?
My GH plants haven't done nearly as well as the outdoor ones, but at least the marigolds planted in with the toms. seem to have kept the whitefly at bay.
