Title: SEED SELECTION Ist Time in nearly 40years

AS you know I"ve returned to Gardening after a very long time.
I've selected some seeds for this year to try. I think a General Selection.This comes through Lack of Experience
so therefore:

I would greatly Value your opinion on my Selection or Choice.

If you thin differently over the Selction please let me know For Example:
Carrots I've Selected:  Nantes 2:  Good or Not or Something else Next Time

Please Look at the List and kindly let me know your views!!

Seed List 2005
Cabbage.........Winter King
Carrots ...........Nantes 2
Cauliflower......Alpha
Cucumber.......Chinese Snake
Broccoli...........Calabrese
Lettuce...........Prada
Leeks.............Autumn Giant
                      Blauwgroen Winter Arkansas
Brusselsprouts.....Roodnerf
Onions...........Rijnburger
Onions[Spring]...Ishikura
Paprika...........California Wonder
Parsnip..........Halflong
Peas Sugar Peas...Heraut
Radish Halfrood/Halfwit

Is there any thing there thats too difficult to Grow!!!!

What type of soil do you have???

Hi Mike,
I miss green beans in your list. They don't take up much room if you take climbers and are very easy to grow. I would suggest Rakkers as they crop and freeze well.
Paprika and almost all types of cucumber will only grow under glass in Holland.

What sort of Soil!!

Dark and Very Soft in Excellent Condition

Busy taking out all the Tree and Bush Roots and its breaking up really fine So the Hard part is really worth the Effort.[ Now busy with the Ground Preparations]

Very Small  amount  of Sandy Type earth along the Borders But I think this is due to The Paths that are laid.

Yesterday believe it or Not With [ Her Indoors] at the Boerenbond..........I pick out Two Boxes of Runner Beans and thought No --- ---  Do only the Peas.

You must have read my thoughts.

Paprika and Cucumber Under glass Thanks .........Wont bother this Year I will try a Swap Later.......maybe for those Beans.....yes I think thats a good idea.
