Title: Cape daisys
Post by: Growing4twins on September 12, 2011, 13:40:21
Ive gone a bit mad on buying cape daisys this year, i just love the colour variations that you can get.  I also love buying them when reduced to pennys just because they have finnished their 1st flush of flowers.  I know they dnt like it to get to cold, so should i leave them in the ground & wrap them up warm in a fleece or should i pot them up & bring them in over the winter??  Two of them have grown huge over the summer, a lot bigger than i thought so should i give them a little trim???  Thanks guys :)

I am new to this too but have a lovely specimen in a tub which is still in flower.

They are like geraniums (pelagoniums) I think.  You are supposed to take cuttings and overwinter them.  The plants you have will keep on flowering if you deadhead them and give them a good feed but the winter will likely get them if you don't bring them in.
