They are a long season so I reckon plant so get them going early indoors then into the greenhouse - thats what I do with my Gemsquash which is the same sort of thing...

I have failed again this year (those coming to our open day tomorrow can witness my disgrace first hand!) I tried some outdoors in a sheltered and cloched melon pit, where they fried and didn't do well, and some indoors in my greenhouse which got as far as blooming and had mini fruit, but stayed like that! I am officially giving up now...and I mean it this time! ::)

Was going to try this year but never put the plants out cos went mad with tomatoes. Next year they get the space inthe GH that the pointless aubergines took up.... dunno why I grew aubergines, I'm not massively fond of them..... Anyway I 've still got some seeds so will give them a go next year.... I like your frame AR, I might well steal that design :D
