This is not reflected in any of the BBC weather forecasts.  27mph winds in the affected areas is not that horrendous.  Here it is 21mph at worst.  Still not good for all the fruit trees in full leaf and fruit (we have lost a large branch off our full size Bramley day before yesterday), but not really bad.

Will keep an eye out for it nearer the time.  Thanks for the warning.

I think they did briefly mention it during breakfast forecast this morning.

Looking at the met office site the ex Katia is going to absorb another depression and so wind up more,  there is nowhere for it to go except round and round so it may be with us for a while.  I do not like the wind but we still could do with the rain.  On the lottie it is still dry two feet down only the top inch or so is damp.

At lunchtime news the local BBC weather forecast mentioned it and upped the wind speeds forecast to 27mph - this is getting a bit more serious.  We are a bit exposed here and 27 can easily mean more wind here.   :(

Well it helped me make my mind up about a few things i was going to put away for the winter and might stick more weight down on the weed membrane.

Might also put some of my plant pots together an try and provide them some shelter :)

Met Office are saying gusts up to 40 mph down here but Scotland supposed to get worst of it - they're actually being quite honest and saying they're not certain where it will hit and how bad it will be.
