Title: Drying Broad Beans
Post by: El Rabano on August 30, 2011, 21:29:11
Soooo . .I attempted to do this, by placing the brand on a tray and letting them air dry, yet many of then went mouldy.

Is this common?

Can anyone lend me some drying tips for next year?

If you don't have enough air circulation then they will go mouldy.

I hang whole plants from hanging basket brackets attached to the sides of my shed.

leave the pods to dry on the stems, that is the pods will turn black and shrink to about a third of their diameter

Muchas gracias, both of you; I'll just leave them on the plants next year . . .
