Title: cake tin with hole in the centre
Post by: tomatoada on August 27, 2011, 15:58:31
Can anyone tell me where I can buy the above?  I had one years ago and I believe it has a special name.
Thanks for any replies.

these have the plain sort..but you can buy more decorative sorts too. I've got several different sizes..some I bought from Lidl..keep eye on when they have 'baking week' theme going on..

I don't know any fancy name for them..just 'whole in the middle cake tins'.. ;D
I bet you get some in Ebay cheaper.. ;)

Why did I spend hours searching on the net instead of trying a4a.
I am now spoiled for choice.   Many thanks.  Off to look again and decide which one is best for cake baking.
Thanks again.

The savarin is shallow and comes in varios sizes Kugehof is taller and narrower than Bundt,  and is used for cakes of the same name, Bundt is a prettyy big cake pan, comed fkuted and plain .

Thanks for asking the question and answering. I've been on the look out for one, for a while!
