Title: Fishmeal?
Post by: davejg on August 26, 2011, 18:44:55
I have come by about 15kgs of fishmeal to use as fertilizer, Any suggestions on what to use it on & when?

Fishmeal is high in nitrogen and phosphate, so at a guess it would be good for anything which wouldn't actually need a high potash fertaliser - so not on your tomatoes and potatoes.

I'm not a big fan of fertalisers as the wrong one at the wrong time of year can do more harm than good, but I don't suppose it would hurt to give a light application to things in late spring - though certainly not this time of year as you don't want any rank growth going into winter.
