Title: Dutch brown beans
Post by: lin on August 26, 2011, 16:27:20
An elderly neighbour has just asked me to find out where I can get hold of these so he can plant them next year... I have looked online but not many sellers and not too much info either, anyone on here grown them, or know where I can buy some Dutch brown beans for growing? Linda

Try this one

Dry Bush Bean Brown Dutch

https://www.sluisgarden.com/producten/categorie/legumes/

Their calabrese Lord produced huge heads.  They charge P&P  and Vat  but otherwise seeds and service good.  Once you grow them  you can then keep the seeds and sown your own.

I grew them a couple of years ago. They ripened fully to the drying bean stage weeks before anything else, beginning of August in fact

and i'm growing them this year, partly to get fresh seed

you're welcome to some if you don't mind waiting
