Title: Are your Gojis fruiting
Post by: Digeroo on August 13, 2011, 07:31:59
After three years I am finally getting a few gojis.  Not a lot.  They look like little orange tear drops.    I had eight yesterday, so now I shall live for ever.  Keep thinking what I would be eating if they had been raspberries instead.

Decided in the end to water them and this has helped.  They are very unruly plants and the berries are on the floppiest stems.

Not sure they are earning their space.  How are yours doing?  Should I grub them up and plant more raspberries?

To be honest with you they are utter crap. The big one that Sqash gave me is being used to fill agap in fence and the one that froglegs (I think) gave me is just sitting pretty. No flowers.

Just come across this website

http://www.victoriananursery.co.uk/soft_fruits/goji_berry/

Says to eat the flowers, but they are miniscule.  Also says to shake them off, no chance if you leave them too long the birds eat them.

Perhaps but how long do you have to wait?   Has anyone got a good crop?
