Title: Leek problems
Post by: sticks on August 10, 2011, 11:15:56
Any ideas what might have happened to this leek please?

All the others around it seem healthy. What should I do with it? Dig it up and put it in the bin?

Sure someone else will give you a diagnosis but as the rest are fine would definitely agree you should dump it.

With out looking closer at the leaves, it seems to be rust.

I've never seen rust which looked like that. I'd be inclined to lift it and have a look at the roots. It's not doing anything, so nothing's lost.

My eyes ain't so good but does that leek appear to be bending if so it could be Fusarian disease or a wrong seed in the packet.
