Someone has on their plot a squash type leave growing up a wigwam with broad bean type looking things that are VERY hairy and soft(both hairs and pod) about 5" long and plant is about 5ft high with big squash like leaves.
The judges were not sure what they are either!!!
It could be immature fruit of Hairy Melon aka Hairy Cuke an Asian curcurbit.

The Serpente di Sicilia have very soft hairy leaves and the fruit are hairy too. You can tell by the very distinctive pretty white flowers. Mine are growing up a stake and are about 5 ft tall...
